This seasonal pale ale is made with wild foraged Karkalla fruit gathered in the coastal dunes near Robe, introducing a unique flavour and body. Mixed fermentation with both wild and specially selected yeast strains, adds to the distinct fruity flavour.
Interesting: The Karkalla Pigface is a succulent coastal groundcover plant native to southern Australia. Karkalla leaves are succulent, 3.5–10 cm long and 1 cm wide, and curved or rarely straight. native to Australia, and formerly a staple vegetable of indigenous Australians, it grows commonly on beachfront, dry and saline areas around southern Australia.
